Not only is he pushing reforms that benefits our kids, he also organises occasional tutorials that has impacted on the life of students finding it difficult to grasp some topics in mathematics and other science related subjects.

Babu Owino whose real name is Paul Ongili Owino hails from Kisumu came into prominence in August of 2017 after he was elected as a member of parliament for Embakasi East Constituency.
Born on October 10, 1989 (Age 36), Babu Owino has always been a lover of education. As a first-class graduate of Actuarial Science and holder of a Master’s degree in the same field, he has expanded his intellectual capacity and used it to impact the lives of ordinary Kenyans who cannot afford to hire private tutors for their children struggling in critical subjects such as Mathematics.

Babu Owino began his online tutorials on Facebook. Through his livestream, he has broken topics in mathematics into digestible bits and listeners can attest to the knowledge they have amassed.
In October of 2025, he launched a series of Mathematics tutorials for those writing the 2025 KCSE exams and in one of his videos, he reached 1 million views in less than two hour.
When others use social media for political clout, he uses his own to share knowledge and expand the knowledge of our kids.
