Background
Simon Warui was a 26 years old who worked in an electronic shop in Nairobi. On the 14th September 2025, he was reported missing from his resident in Umoja area, Nairobi.
According to many sources, he was arrested by the owners of the electronic shop he works in after he faced accusations of stealing Sh170,000. Following his arrest, he was taken to Central Police Station in Mombasa, allegedly awaiting transfer back to Nairobi.
After his family got wind of his arrest in Central Police Station following their frantic search for him, they organised to travel to Mombasa and when they arrived on Thursday, September 18, they were told he’s dead and the body is at the morgue.

According to the claims of the Police, Simon Warui tried to climb a wall in the cells but fell and died, a story that the family of Simon Warui are contesting against.
