Biography
Comedian Mulamwah whose real name is David Oyando was born 28th May, 1993 (Age 31). Hailing from Butere in Kakamega County of the former Western Province of Kenya, Mulamwah is from a family where education was the core of everything.
His father was those typical African parents that believe education to be the only key to success, so Mulamwah wasn’t allowed to participate in any extracurricular activity. Things changed for him after he got admission into the university, where started his career in comedy after being inspired by veterans such as Mzee Ojwang and Mama Kayai.
Education & Career
Immediately after highschool, Mulamwah gained admission into the Moi University to study Nursing Degree in 2012. And it was during his time as he student did he channel his attention into other activities like comic acting.
Mulamwah started first with a band of student under the stage name Muindi. Together they performed at events and recorded short skits. The group disbanded as they near graduation, where they all focused on their individual path.
Making it as a comedian in Kenya, one has to perform in a popular platform and only the Churchill show provided such platform as at that time that was why performing at the show was Mulamwah’s biggest dream. Although he auditioned multiple times but he was unsuccessfully picked. In some instances, Mulamwah had to sell his phone so he could get transport to take him to Nairobi for the auditioning.
After multiple try, Mulamwah gave up on his quest on performing on the Churchill show and in 2019, he started uploading his videos on Instagram which got him fame.
While Mulamwah continued to pursue his career in comic acting, he was also practicing nurse and he was able to fund his career with his pay as a nurse.

Comedian Mulamwah is in relationship with Ruth K, an Actor and
Actress. The two are blessed with a beautiful kid. Before dating Ruth K, Comedian Mulamwah was in a relationship with social media influencer and content creator Carrol ‘Sonie’ Muthoni, the two had their split in 2021 after a littls rough patch.
