How To Apply For The IEBC 2026 Temporary Job Openings

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has opened its recruitment portal for qualified applicants to apply for temporary positions for the forthcoming by-elections scheduled to take place on February 26, 2026.
The job openings were announced on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, and the deadline for applications is Monday, January 26, 2026. Since these are temporary positions, only a limited number of applicants will be recruited. Applicants must be residents of the constituency or ward where the elections will be conducted.
The constituencies and wards include:
- Isiolo South Constituency (050)
- West Kabras CAW (1002)
- Evurore CAW (0330)
- Muminji CAW (0329)
Remuneration
The wages for successful applicants are as follows:
- Presiding Officers: KShs. 2,000 per day
- Deputy Presiding Officers: KShs. 1,800 per day
Cumulative earnings will be paid directly to the successful applicants.

The following positions are available:
- Support Electoral Trainers (SETs)
- Presiding Officers and Deputy Presiding Officers
- Polling and Counting Clerks

Requirements
