A couple of job vacancies have been made available at the Ministry of Defence. The available positions include Garden Assistant III (CSC 15), which has 30 vacancies and requires a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of D+ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification.

The Support Staff/Sanitary Cleaner (CSG 16) position has 15 vacancies. In addition to a KCSE mean grade of D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification, applicants are required to have a Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.

The job vacancies is available from December 30, 2025 until midnight of January 20, 2026.

Duties & Responsibilities This is a training grade for this cadre. Groundman/Garden Assistants at this level will be deployed to maintain lawns, gardens, flowerbeds, etc. They will also be required to undertake varied work relating to gardening in the Ministry’s Units/State House/Lodges. This is an entry level position. The Support Staff function will entail undertaking sanitary cleaning in the area of deployment; performing messengerial duties; and undertaking any other related duties.
